Battlefront Miniatures

A New Home for Battlefront Content

Earlier this year we launched the new Battlefront Group website, a combined eCommerce platform that allows you to browse the entire range of Flames Of War, World War III and GF9 ranges of product in one place.

Having a seamless browsing experience was one of the main reasons we created the site, but the other was the Flames Of War website that you know and love is around 20 years old and in need of an upgrade.

With the Battlefront Group site launched we turned our attention to the content side of the old website. We wanted to build something new that could serve as a focus for not only providing interesting content for you to read and enjoy, but also a place to promote tournaments, events, and our amazing range of 3rd party contributors. It is the work of these unsung heroes that spend their time organising events and creating content that we wanted to highlight alongside whatever is happening inside the Battlefront offices around the world.

Our answer to that is the new Battlefront Community website (https://www.battlefront-community.com/) which will be the place to go as we move forward for all the news, events, and content related to our miniature games.

It is still a work in progress with plenty of content to add, but we will be going through the backlog of articles on the old FOW and WWIII websites and adding it over time. We also have some work on the back end of the site to do, with future upgrades planned so stay tuned for new things in the future.

We hope you enjoy the new website and as we add more content, hope you find some great old articles that we have polished up and brought back.

FAQ

Q. What is happening to the old websites, https://www.flamesofwar.com/ and https://www.team-yankee.com/ ?
A. These will be shut down in the coming weeks

Q. What about all the content on the old sites?
A. We have already started work identifying content that is still relevant and are planning to bring it over to the new site, once we have given it a tidy up.

Q. Will all the content come over?
A. No. Things like spotlights won’t come over as they are now integrated with the e-commerce site. Additionally old event reports and other content that is out of date won’t be migrated, however we plan on bringing over old history articles and scenarios (once they have been given an update).

Q. How long with it take to migrate the content?
A. We aren’t sure right now, but our aim will be to bring 2-3 articles back each week alongside new content.
