The Panther G tanks |
|
The Panther G's long 7.5cm KwK42 gun (nearly twice as long as the American M4 Sherman tank’s gun) can penetrate almost any tank in existence. The strong front armour of the Panther G matches its gun, comprising 80mm (3.15”) of well-sloped armour plate – more than enough to turn the shot of any gun less powerful than its own.

Wide Tracks
Some excellent tank designs have successfully utilised wider tracks, allowing them to cross almost any terrain.
If a vehicle with Wide Tracks becomes Bogged Down while attempting to cross Rough Terrain, roll again. On a roll of 4+ the vehicle immediately frees itself and continues moving. |

The Jagdpanther Tank Destroyers |
|
The Jagdpanther combines the armour and mobility of a Panther with the long 8.8cm gun from the King Tiger, a truly deadly combination. |

Hull-mounted Guns
Some tanks mount weapons in the front of the hull instead of in a turret to save weight or to make them easier to produce.
A hull-mounted weapon mounted in the front of a vehicle has a 180-degree Field of Fire covering everything in front of a line drawn across the front of the vehicle. If the weapon is mounted at the rear of the vehicle, the Field of Fire covers everything to the rear of a line drawn across the rear of the vehicle.

The Panzergrenadier Platoon |
|
The Panzergrenadier regiments are the assault infantry of the German
armoured divisions, and the Armoured (or Gepanzerte) Panzergrenadiers are
the hard spearhead of any infantry assault.
They are noted for their speed, mobility, and great firepower. Because they’re part of a Panzer Division they cooperate closely with the tanks of the Panzer Regiment. Armed with two MG42 machine-guns for each squad, the Panzergrenadier Platoon can unleash a substantial volume of firepower. Mounted in their armoured Sd Kfz 251/1 half-tracks they travel into battle. They can fight on foot or assault from their vehicles.
|
|
The Panzergrenadiers are at their best when they put their mobility and firepower to use in combined operations with the Panzers. Panzergrenadiers will often precede the Panzers in an assault; attempting to create situations the highly mobile tanks can take advantage of.
