Mike’s US Rifle Company Mike is our master mould maker. He also likes gaming a lot, his reputation is such in New Zealand that he’s had a specific type of move named after him (well his nickname really, but you’ll have to ask him). I have always liked infantry armies, I enjoy playing the lower morale/skill forces and this seemed like a good opportunity to put together a US Rifle Company.

Another theme to the army is indirect firepower. With changes to the rules in 2nd edition Flames Of War artillery has been greatly improved. The combination with the US special rules for artillery led me to put together an infantry force with a lot of in-direct firepower to see how effective it would be. The aircraft were added as a continuation of this ideas and because by 1944 American air power was everywhere.

Not being a great painter I had my good friend Karl paint this force for me. Mike Mike now has a completed US Rifle Company which he uses in tournament to great effect.
