Jeremy’s Panzergrenadier Kompanie
Battlefront Staff 600 point project...
Jeremy is on of our in house miniatures painters.
though he is cheating as his first platoon was painted up for the GBX09 box art!

Having spent the last year and a half assembling
and painting a mighty DAK force, I decided to go for something
completely different for the late war period.
So, instead of plain sand coloured tanks, I’m going for three colour camouflage tanks!
Ok, it’s the same, but I like German equipment. I decided on the elite of the elite of the Heer forces, Gross Deutschland. |

Jeremy completed his StuG platoon, and though his 600 point force only includes 2 StuGs, he has painted a third.
To be different the third vehicle is a captured SU-85 which he plans to run just as a StuG, using all the normal StuG III G rules and stats.

One thing I’ve been asked about is my bases. I’ve gone for the Autumn/Fall fallen leaf look on my bases with lots of foliage detritus covering the ground. I used a simple variety of dried herbs from the kitchen cupboard such as mint, mixed herbs and parsley.
These were then painted with appropriate tones of brown and green with a few real dry twigs added for effect.
