Step 1. Begin assembly of the KV-1 by gluing on the right hand-side tracks.		Step 2. Next, attach the left hand-side tracks.

Step 4. Attach the rear plate.		Step 5. Next, attach the glacis plate.

Step 6. Glue in the straight edged engine deck for the KV-1.		Below: Engine deck in place.

Step 7. Add fuel tanks.		Step 8. Combine the top and bottom turret pieces.

Step 10. Attach the commanders hatch in either the open or closed position.		Step 11. Add the mantlet to the turret. The KV-1s mantlet is the wider of the 3 featured on the sprue.

Step 12. Glue in the long gun barrel.		Below: Barrel glued in.

Step 13. Add a turret peg to the underside of the turret.		Step 14. Finish by adding the turret to the hull assembly.

Step 1. The assembly of the KV-8 is the same as the KV-1 until step 11, at which point the small barrel and alternate mantlet should be used.
