All Flames Of War infantry and guns are supplied with appropriate bases. Assemble your infantry teams by gluing the figures into the holes on a base of the right size. Super glue works well for this.

There are usually several figures with each type of weapon, so you can create variety in your teams. It doesn’t matter which mix of figures you put in each team, as long as the mix of weapons is right.

Commanders and Unit Leaders
Base the Africa Rifle Company HQ teams and the Africa Rifle Platoon Unit Leader on a small base with an NCO and rifleman as a runner. The team faces the long edge.

MG34 Team
Base the MG34 teams of an Africa Rifle Platoon on a medium base. Teams combine a machine-gunner armed with an MG34 light machine-gun, an NCO, two riflemen armed with Kar98k rifles. The team faces the long edge.

Tip: Use the plugs found on the base plug sprue to fill any unnecessary holes when it comes to attaching the prone MG34 loader and gunner to the base.

sMG34, 8cm mortar & 2.8cm Anti-tank Rifle Teams
Base these heavy weapons on medium base facing the long edge. These teams have the gunner and his weapon along with two assistant gunners or loaders.

Tip: Once again, use the plugs found on the base plug sprue to fill any unnecessary holes when it comes to attaching the sMG34 8cm mortar tube and 2.8cm anti-tank rifle to the base.
