Panther/Jagdpanther Platoon (GBX84) includes five plastic Panther/Jagdpanther sprues, five plastic Panther/Jagdpanther accessory sprues, one plastic Tank Commander sprue, five metal Jagdpanther commanders & one decal sheet.
The Panther G is the final model of the famed Panther tank. When Germany's tank designers revamped the old Panther A, they gave it a thicker, but more vertical, one-piece hull side to mate up with the superstructure of the Jagdpanther, and eliminated the driver’s direct vision slot.

The result was slightly stronger armour, but more importantly, was easier to manufacture. The new model retained the very long-barrelled 7.5cm KwK42 gun of its predecessor, which a year after its introduction was still a match for any tank in existence, penetrating 124mm (4.9”) of sloped armour at 500m. The strong front armour of the Panther G matched its gun, comprising 80mm (3.15”) of well-sloped armour plate. This was more than enough to turn the shot of any gun less powerful than its own. Firepower! The Panther G's long 7.5cm KwK42 gun (nearly twice as long as the American M4 Sherman tank’s gun) can penetrate almost any tank in existence. |
Wide Tracks Some excellent tank designs have successfully utilised wider tracks, allowing them to cross almost any terrain. If a vehicle with Wide Tracks becomes Bogged Down while attempting to cross Rough Terrain, roll again. On a roll of 4+ the vehicle immediately frees itself and continues moving. |

Mobility Despite weighing as much as an Allied heavy tank, and having the front armour to match, the Panther has the mobility of a medium tank. |

Hull-mounted Guns Some tanks mount weapons in the front of the hull instead of in a turret to save weight or to make them easier to produce. A hull-mounted weapon mounted in the front of a vehicle has a 180-degree Field of Fire covering everything in front of a line drawn across the front of the vehicle. If the weapon is mounted at the rear of the vehicle, the Field of Fire covers everything to the rear of a line drawn across the rear of the vehicle. |
Unreliable Whether poorly designed, unsuitable for the conditions, or requiring more maintenance than current supply conditions will allow, these vehicles have a significant chance of breakdown when pushed too hard. If an Unreliable vehicle attempts to move At the Double, roll a die. On a roll of 1 the vehicle becomes Bogged Down. |
