Fate Of A Nation
The fate of a nation hangs in the balance. Israel cannot lose even a single battle. One defeat would mean the destruction of the tiny Jewish state. Not waiting to be attacked by the Arab forces massing on its borders, Israel strikes first.

Observer teams need a good view of the battlefield in order to do their job correctly. Be sure to deploy them in a position where they have an excellent view of the battlefield such as on a hilltop or on the top floor of a multi-level building.

Smoke
Sometimes your weapons won’t destroy the enemy quickly enough to prevent them from wreaking havoc on your own troops first. One way to protect your troops in the meanwhile is to fire smoke at the enemy to temporarily impair their vision.

Only weapons listed as having the Smoke attribute in their Arsenal may fire smoke. Some weapons can also fire Smoke Bombardments (see page 136 of the main rulebook).

One of the mortar teams in each mortar sections needs to contain the two-man mortar crew consisting of the kneeling gunner and standing loader figures as well as the M1 81mm mortar itself and one of the standing NCO figures. The other mortar team are made up of the same two-man mortar crew, the M1 81mm mortar and the Standing figure covering ears. Model the mortar teams on the Medium four-hole bases.

Tip: Use the base plugs to fill the leftover figure hole on the base as each mortar team consists of only a three figures.

Repeat this to create the second mortar section in the Ch'ir Mortar Platoon.
