The 2nd and 14th Cavalry Groups were among the first units to replace their aging M5A1 Stuarts with the new M24 Chaffee. Combining the gun of a Sherman with the speed of a light tank the M24 could keep up with the cavalry and lend support where needed.

Assembling The M24 Chaffee
|
Step 1. Begin assembly by attaching the tracks to the hull of the M24 Chaffee.
Note: Each track has a lug on the back that corresponds with the recesses in the hull to aid in correct orientation. |

Step 4. Followed by the Commander's hatch.

Step 5. Finally, add the .50cal AA MG. |
Step 6. With the .50cal AA MG in place the M24 Chaffee is now ready to be painted. |

Step 1. When attaching the commander's hatch, attach it to the turret in an open position as shown in the exampe below. |
Step 2. Next, add the Tank Commander of your choosing. The M24 Chaffee Platoon box set includes a sprue of five different Tank Commanders to choose from. |

Assembling The M36 Tank Destroyer
|
Step 1. Begin assemble by attaching the tracks to the hull of the M36.
Note: Each track has a number of lugs on the back that correspond with the recesses in the hull to aid in the
correct alignment of the tracks.

Below: Simply glue a rare earth magent to the bottom of the turret and you have a safe and secure way of attaching the turret to the hull.

Step 2. Next, attach the M3 90mm gun barrel to the recess on the front of the turret. |
Step 3. Then attach the .50cal AA MG to the rear of the turret using the MG pedestal. |

Step 4. Inside the turret there are three round platforms to place the crew figures. On these three platforms arrange one figure of each crew variant (A, B, & C) inside the turret.

Step 5. With the crew in place, the M36 tank destroyer is ready for painting. |

Step 4. Attach the MG of choice to the pintle mount.

Step 5. Finally, attach the pintle mount to the internal mount inside the jeep. |
