Flames Of War Tournament at Feast of Blades
held 28 October 2012 by the League of Extraordinary Gamers
by Ian Darley
This was the first time we had been invited to host at Feast of Blades, traditionally a Games Workshop themed event. Setup took place Friday night and the games took place on Saturday in 2 hour time slots.

This was a Late-war 1750 point event that attracted seven players and inlcuded the scenarios: Pincer, Fighting Withdrawal and Dust Up. The seven armies (and placings) were comprised of:
Axis
PG Lehr (1), HG PG (2), Sperrverband (4), FHH Panzer (5)
Allies
4th Division Tank (3), British Para (6), 4th Division Tank (7) |

We had a very strange series of games; with the exception of one 5-2, every game ended in 6-1 victories.
Unfortunately, with one player not showing we had an odd number of players. Next year we will have a club army available to at least give the odd person out a game during their down turn.

Lessons learned: Play one scenario at a time on all tables. Make sure
the BF scenario program works properly on our laptop before players turn
up. Fortunately, we had an excel spreadsheet as back up.
In general things went well and we were able to forward the top two players to BF as National’s qualifiers.
Prize support provided by Battle Front, and LGS’s Collectormania and Troll Country.
