The North American D-Day Global Campaign Launch Events On the evening of the first day of the D-Day: Global Campaign the staff from the North America Battlefront office took the fight to the streets. Partnering with four area retailers to host a night of gaming and a great start to the Global Campaign.

The four locations that we visited, in no particular order, were Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie Maryland, Showcase Comics in Swarthmore Pennsylvania, Millennium Hobbies in Blackwood New Jersey, and Creative Pursuit Games. At every store we were received with real hospitality, and it was great to get a chance to game in such welcoming spaces.

Talking with players that came in to fight out their first battles, it was nice to discover that quite a few of the participants were new to the hobby prior to the Hobby League, and that they were bringing their Hobby League forces out to play after putting so much work into them. Even beyond that, there were a number of new Hobbyists that picked up their Fury and Hit the Beach that night after seeing the Campaign battles we were playing.

After checking out the results across all the stores we had staff visit, the scores looked pretty well even. The American forces managed two solid victories. However, the German forces at Millennium Hobbies made a staunch defensive stand and fended off the American attempt to invade. Were looking forward to see more results come in from these stores during the week and weekend, and we will be sure to head out and visit again later in the Campaign.
