3.7cm Flakzwilling 43 (GE546) (Direct Only) Includes a Luftwaffe Light Anti-Aircraft Gun Platoon with three 3.7cm Flakzwilling 43 guns and command SMG team, three medium bases and one small base.
The Luftwaffe is responsible for defending our troops from enemy aircraft. To do this, they have stationed anti-aircraft batteries all along the front line and created flak strongpoints covering most of the vital areas. Protecting the defenders of Berlin from airborne threats is the utmost priority of the anti-aircraft platoons.

Berlin: German In January 1945 the German Ardennes offensive in the west failed to force the Allies to the negotiating table. The British and Americans are ready to cross into Germany. The newly-raised Panzerdivision ‘Clauswitz’ and troops from the schools and training battalions are thrown into the fight. Every fighting man is utilised in the defence of the Reich. In the east, the Germans traded ground for time, falling back into western Poland and east Prussia and establishing Festerplatz, or fortress cities. An eerie calm settled in for the first few weeks of the new year as both sides prepare. |

The 3.7cm FlaK 43 was the pinnacle of design for a German light anti-aircraft gun. Its advanced gas-operated breech increased the rate of fire to 150 rounds per minute. The twin-barrelled version, the Flakzwilling 43, despite its ungainly appearance, proved especially deadly. |
