At the beginning of the next World War it retains its place in the French Army—ever sturdy and reliable. Interestingly it can fire either from individual metal trays of 24 rounds or 251 round articulated metal belts.

	Each bataillon of infantry had a fourth company, the Compagnie d’Accompagnement, for its heavy weapons.
