Panzer Lehr Panzergrenadier Platoon (GE780) One of the unique features of the Panzergrenadiers of the elite Panzer Lehr Panzerdivision were their uniforms. Rather than the standard M1942 tunic that many of the other Heer Panzergrenadiers wore they were issued with a Feld Grau short double-breasted tunic similar in cut to that worn by Panzer crews.

Sometimes known as a ‘Panzer wrap’ the unique tunic set them apart from the other German divisions fighting with them in Normandy.
Another unique feature of the Panzer Lehr Panzergrenadiers was their allocation of Panzerschrecks. Rather than concentrating these weapons at company level in specialised Panzerjäger (tank-hunter) detachments like other units, they issued them to platoons in much the way the Americans used the Bazooka.
The Panzergrenadiers Platoons of the Panzer Lehr can either be fielded as the Combat Platoons of a Gepanzerte Panzergrenadierkompanie or as Support Platoon for a Panzerkompanie. As MG teams they can deliver a tremendous amount of fire onto an enemy platoon. With ROF 3 each the seven MG teams make short work of any enemy platoons caught in the open.
As Panzergrenadiers they can also utilise the German Mounted Assault special rule.
Mounted Assault allows them to move into an Assault mounted in their half-tracks allowing them the protection of the half-tracks armour during defensive fire and the first round of combat. Designed by Seth Painted by Jeremy
