Phil and Evan

Thank You Phil and Evan!

Today we wanted to bring you some important news about two major changes in the Studio team.

Two of our veterans, Phil Yates and Evan Allen, are leaving the team after 25 years, four editions of Flames Of War and two editions of World War III, having written countless words and sculpted more models that we can remember.

Both of them have seen the business change and grow over the years. Phil, our original game designer, has over the past five years stepped away from Flames Of War and World War III to work on board games for GF9, with Wayne taking over the mantle as our Games Designer.

Phil is embarking on an exciting new chapter with his own game, Angels One Six, a WW2 dogfighting game coming to Kickstarter later this year (https://www.facebook.com/angelsonesix).

Evan has been instrumental in creating the Battlefront style of highly graphical models that are interesting to paint regardless of skill level. From the original resin and metal models to the latest plastic infantry and vehicles, Evan has had a hand in the creation of every single one.

Whilst Evan may be retiring, he isn’t completely disappearing and will still be active on our social media pages, painting some of his miniature backlog, as well as creating miniatures for us when something piques his interest.

We want to thank both Phil and Evan for the time and energy they have invested into the company and the wider Battlefront community and wish them all the very best.

Peter, John-Paul and the rest of the Battlefront team.
