Wolfkrieg 2025 By Chad Underdonk Over the second weekend in March, 62 Flames Of War players gathered from within a thousand mile radius at Hard Knox Games & Hobbies in Elizabethtown, Kentucky USA for Wolfkrieg 2025. This year the annual red-vs-blue event was themed around the Bagration Offensive and had forces selected from Soviet, German, Romanian, Hungarian, and Finnish armies.

Wolfkrieg is a yearly opportunity to meet new players and get reacquainted with friends from all over the country. It is a great place for families to spend quality time together with at least four family groups participating this year. Both new players and veterans of multiple events rub shoulders and sharpen their games, all while getting the chance to socialize in a comfortable environment and at the impromptu dining opportunities afterwards.

The fellowship this year did not disappoint. Each player was given the opportunity to nominate one of their five opponents for the Best Sport award. Of the sixty two players, 42 of them received at least one nomination.

To ensure the event is friendly to all skill level of player Trophies are earned by record, but monetary prizes are awarded among all participants by random drawing. Players get more entries into the drawing for various things that make the Tournament Organizers job a little easier…like showing up, getting their list in for review, bringing an army from both factions for tournament balance, providing a terrain table, multiple votes for best paint job, multiple votes for best sport, and of course being accomplished on the field of battle.

Some of this year's Trophies: A DP-28 magazine and an 8mm ammo can.

Along with hosting the event for the last twelve years Hard Knox Games also offers an expansive selection of hobby supplies and Battlefront products for both attendees and the public at large.
