The tournament was 100 points late war, 3 rounds; in the first round the matches were axis/allies, and in the second round they faced each other using a pure Swiss matchmaking system based on the score regardless of the side.
People came from all over Spain, Lisbon, and even from Belgium. To all of them, thank you very much for the support. A sign of the good state of Flames of War in our country is the fact that we can bring together 50 people in a tournament.
We held the tournament in the very centre of Badajoz, a 2-minute walk from the hotels in the centre (and Badajoz is not an expensive city to visit); in the Centro Vivo Hospital, a public space managed by the Provincial Council of Badajoz (to whom we are extremely grateful for providing the space). We had lunch in the same place as the tournament, too. In other words, everything was right next to you.
It was an unforgettable day, full of laughter, dice, battles, epic moments. At the end of it, an American took the victory, followed by a Brit and then a German. A shared podium!
The rules pack prevented you from repeating formation, and you could not take more than three formations, and not repeat the battle stance more than twice.
At the end of the day we handed out the prizes, which were incredible, really, all the participants took home at least one prize, and many even two. We used almost all of the money raised for prizes.
If we launch the tournament next year, don't hesitate to come, I'm sure you'll have a great time!
