Step 1. Begin assembly of the Katyusha by gluing the rockets onto the rocket rail		Below. The rockets attached to the rocket rail

Step 2: Next begin assembly of the cab of the Truck. Glue the front plate to the cab.	Step 3. Glue the wind screen plate into place.

Step 4. Attach the completed cab to the chassis of the truck.	Below: The cab attached to the truck chassis.

Step 5. Glue the stabilizer jacks to the back of the truck (Note that the flat edge faces inwards)	Step 6. Glue the hydraulic ram into the gap at the center of the truck

Step 7. Now glue the left side support frame onto the truck and hydraulic ram.

Step 8. Next glue the right side support frame onto the truck and hydraulic ram

Step 9. Glue the completed rocket rail assembled in Step 1. onto the left and right support frames.		Below: A completed Katyusha Rocket Battery.

Plastic Katyusha Speed Build!

We grabbed some of the writers and graphic designers of the Auckland Studio team and gave them the new plastic Katyushas to assemble. This was the first time any of these guys had built the model. We also gave the old metal and resin version to Evan (who sculpted it many many years ago) to build at the same time. Can the veteran modeler and sculptor beat a group of people building the new plastic Katyusha for the very first time? Stay tuned for the drop tests at the end…
