Matador Trucks
(BR455)
includes two one-piece resin Matador trucks.
The Matador was best known for its role as an artillery tractor; a role which it excelled at throughout the course of the war. Powered by a 7.58 litre, six-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 95hp, the Matador first entered service in 1938.

The pulling power of the Matador was legendary. On occasion a Sherman was successfully tow-started by a Matador on less than hospitable ground. The Matador saw service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) and its towing power and reliability meant any surplus truck were quickly snapped up by garages and mechanics during the post-war years.
