NatCon 2012 Report: Results and Winners by Rob Shirley The Hamilton (NZ) Immortals hosted this year’s New Zealand National Wargaming Convention (NatCon) in the large gym at Fraser High School. There were just on 110 players participating in 14 different events held over the course of the weekend.

Of which 20 participated in the Late-war Flames Of War tournament and a further 16 players in the Early-war event. The 36 player total made NatCon the largest concentration of Flames Of War enthusiasts to attend an event so far this year, with players coming from as far as Invercargill to take part in the gaming festivities.

The home team was represented by 12 Hamiltonians and 6 associate members while the Hutt Valley region had 6; Christchurch, Invercargill and the Auckland region all contributed four players each. Tauranga had two and the central North Island had one each from New Plymouth, Levin, Hastings and the Wairarapa.

The winners of the overall Interclub Trophy were the Invercargill lads. Rob Torrance won the Tony Davys Memorial Cup and four awards that were decided over both competitions were:
