The Battle of Leipzig
In April this year, our U.S. Editor (Dave Taylor) jumped in his car and headed off to Beaver, Pennsylvania (northwest of Pittsburgh), to photograph an amazing game based on the legendary Battle of Leipzig. While the map, troops, and objectives matched those of the original battle 197 years earlier, the introduction of players of varying levels of knowledge of the battle, armed with their own ideas of what could have happened, the game played out in a very interesting fashion.
With a collection of photos of the amazing spectacle and an interview with the crazed game master (Paul Olszanski) in WI272, we wanted to make sure you got to see the rest of the photos, along with Neil Smith’s research on the Allied commanders.
You can download the companion article here...
Shortly we will be able to present Paul’s Orders of Battle for Age of Eagles, the rule set used to refight this famous event.
