Army Kit Bag The great thing about travelling around the world to visit our offices is that I also get to attend some of the great shows around the world and all in the name of “work”. It was on one such show visit earlier this year that I met a new company “Battlefoam” who have been doing some very cool things for transporting and protecting your miniatures.
After chatting together for a while we came to the conclusion that Flames Of War gamers needed the ultimate transport case to move their armies around and began work on the “Army Kit Bag” you see before you today.
It has a rigid case that is durable beyond your expectations and has pockets built in for your books, templates and dice tins. It can be opened from the top and front. The really clever bit is the special laser cutting technique that Battlefoam have pioneered to allow us to make trays which specific shapes and depths to cover all your needs.
As you can see we have come up with five different tray designs that cover everything from little bases or vehicles to the space for the Big Cats and artillery.
The mixture we have put in the bag is the best combination we could come up with to give you enough space to field a couple of smaller armies or a Soviet horde. All the models are carried upright so there is no risk of damage as you move you forces around.
This case carries more models that two equivalent “black” versions that other companies offer and with the ability to simply store more models in trays. I know I will now be storing my armies in custom trays and then picking and choosing what goes in my bag when I need it instead of having a mountain of hard black cases that I am never quite sure what each one holds.
More information on this and your ability to get hold of extra trays will come in the next few weeks.
The “Army Kit Bag: goes on sale the week of the 12 December 2009 and makes the perfect present for your partners to get you for this holiday season. The “pitch” being it will help you clear all the mess from your dinning room table and look like you have less models that you really do, definitely a win-win.
