Guards Rifle Platoon
(BR812)
The Armoured and Rifle platoons were imperative to the success of Operation Market Garden. They provided protection to the armoured column as they drove deep into enemy territory. The Foots Guards have a long and distinguished service career in the British army.
They take their duty as the Royal Family guard very seriously, in combat they are very committed and are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to achieve victory.
The guardsmen of the infantry battalions supply the tanks with excellent protection. These troops will clear out enemy strong points of anti-tank weapons, keeping the tanks moving forward.
Positioned towards the front of the column, as soon as the enemy is contacted, the infantry dismount and clear out any threats.
