Tale of Two Cities

Week Five:
Bruce Beardsley

So we are nearly done and as I am NOT where I want to be, (that being closer to done) I still have this coming weekend and about four days after that so I am staying optimistic that I can crank through the rest of it, as at least the end of the tunnel is in sight…or is that an Allied searchlight???

Week Five: Bruce Beardsley
So for week five, I wanted to focus on getting the most beleaguering part of my Army done and that was some, most or all of the infantry. Nicht diese Woche! So it turned out to be that I was able to finish the Pioneer Platoon (when I say that, I mean without basing, talking strictly the paint job…), their half-tracks (without the water transfers, as I do that with the basing, both as final touches…) and Panzergrenadier Platoon number two (again without basing…).  I was also able to build my Ju87G Stuka (and research some cool camo patterns) and finish building the Sd Kfz 251/1 and 10s. So all-in-all, I think my most productive week, especially as far as painting goes and I think that was all based on the decision to not make Panzergrenadier Platoon number two so random on the uniform colors and make them all more or less…uniform.

Now week six will be going back, finishing Platoon number one and getting the Stuka and remaining half-tracks all base coated, camouflaged, washed and the tracks done. Maybe even a practice outing in as preparation for the BIG GAME at Historicon (we’ll see how that goes… wünscht mir Glück…)
