"In third edition, the 7.5cm leIG18 gun is rated as a Light gun, this give it 6”/15cm of movement in all but Rough terrain. This allows the 7.5cm leIG18 to keep up with the Infantry as they advance towards the objective."
The development of the 7.5cm infantry gun was conceived by Rheinmetall-Börsig and in 1927 the first model appeared. It entered service in 1932 as the 7.5cm leichte Infantriegeschutz 18. 7.5cm leIG18 gun (Gebirgsjäger) (GE554)
"The 7.5cm leIG18 gun has a Gun shield which means that even if you fail a Gun save, your opponent must make a Firepower test to destroy that team. But remember, Gun shields only provide Bulletproof cover from shots fired from in front of the gun; they do not provide protection if a team moved At The Double or from artillery bombardments."

"Observer teams need a good view of the battlefield in order to do their job correctly. Be sure to deploy them in a position where they have an excellent view of the battlefield such as on a hilltop or on the top floor of a multi-level building."

The leIG18 had a peculiar breach that broke somewhat like a shotgun, breaking open and tilting to expose the breach for loading. In spite of its limited range, it proved effective and reliable. Later in the war, it could be used in the anti-tank role using a specially developed hollow-charge round, but with only limited effect.
