BGT first place

First Belgian GT

The first Belgian GT took place on the 23rd and 24th of November in a unique venue. Located in a over a century old fortress remains, part of the defensive belt around Antwerp ,the GT took place in the clubhouse and private museum of Belgian retired Paratroopers.

This first Belgian GT effort hosted thirty players from no less than ten different countries. Two days of Late War battles based on Battlefront’s battle matrix were fought. Some battles more fierce than others, but all-in an amicable atmosphere.

100 point armies were tested in a Swiss pairing system. Obviously there were some favourite list compositions. We saw a lot of Churchills, Tigers and Pakfronts.

Best Painted: Ludvig, Finland, US Tank Company (picture).

Battlefront and Miniature Wargames excelled in prize support! The winner not only received a placque, a serious amount of vouchers in Flames of War stuff, the winner also received an original artcover work signed by the editor Jean-Paul Brisigotti.

A second original, signed artwork was raffled among the players.

The Belgian GT is organized by Team Belgium Flames of War in association with Battlefront and MiniatureWargames.be (our benevolent sponsor and supplier).

Special thanks to Hans, Dirk, and Steven for the magnificient organization
