The GI’s of the rifle company are the backbone of the US Army. They have little to fear from tanks as they are well supplied with bazookas. Every soldier is armed with a semi-automatic rifle, so they can fire effectively on the move and deliver a withering hail of fire against any enemy. Backed up by a weapons platoon with LMG’s and Mortars, the rifle company can hold their own against any enemy. Automatic Rifles The US Army is equipped with the M1 Garand self-loading rifle, M1 Carbine, and the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR), giving their infantry intense short-range firepower and allowing them to maintain their rate of fire while moving. Rifle and Carbine teams do not suffer the usual +1 to hit penalty for firing a ROF 1 weapon while moving or Pinned Down. When not Pinned Down, Rifle and Carbine teams re-roll all failed rolls to hit in Defensive Fire during assaults.

Assembling the Bazooka Teams To model the bazooka teams, pair-up a gunner and loader figure and arrange them to taste on one of the small two-hole bases provided. See the examples belows.

Assembling the 60mm Mortar Team The Armored Rifle Platoon contains one Mortar section containing one mortar team. The mortar team consists of a NCO figure, mortar loader figure and one figure holding the mortar bipod. The mortar team are modelled on a Medium four-hole base included in the box set.

Assembling the LMG Teams The Armored Rifle Platoon contains one Machine-gun section consisting of two LMG teams. One LMG team in each section has a Gunner, a Loader and an NCO figure and the other has a Gunner, a Loader and a Riflemen figure. LMG teams are modelled on the Medium four-hole bases included in the box set.

Assembling the Rifle Squads Each Rifle Squad consists of two Rifle teams each containing four figure. One of the Rifle teams needs to contain one NCO figure and three Riflemen figures and the other four Riflemen figures. Use whatever poses you like and model these teams on the Medium four-hole bases provided.

Assembling the M3 Half-track

Step 1. The tracks are marked with a L or R to indicate which side they attach to.	Step 2. Attach the tracks and wheels to the resin hull.

Step 3. Next, add the bumper. The command half-track has the wrench while the remaining half-tracks in the platoon has the roller.		Step 4. In the base of the half-track is a recess for the MG ring support post.

Step 5. Attach the MG ring support post.	Step 6. Attach the MG ring to the corner of the hull superstructure and the MG ring support post.	Step 7. Next, add the .50cal AA MG.

Step 8. Don't forget to add the driver.	Step 9. Finally, add the .30cal AA MG.	Step 10. With the .30cal AA MG in place, the M3 half-track is now ready for painting.
