The 3.7cm FlaK43 guns are a must have for any Waffen-SS force and are excellent defence against Allied Typhoons and P-47 fighter-bombers.  In a pinch these anti-aircraft guns can be used to break up infantry assaults. The Waffen-SS had no qualms about turning their weapons on to ground targets.

In Flames Of War The 3.7cm FlaK43 gun can be fielded in the SS-Anti-aircraft Gun Platoon supporting any Waffen-SS company from Cobra. Like the 2cm FlaK38 gun they are also ideal multi-role weapons filling the light anti-tank and anti-infantry requirements as well as their normal anti-aircraft role.

However, it excels at anti-aircraft fire combining a high rate of fire with excellent firepower. The net result is that very few attacking aircraft make through the fire to strike their targets.
