Unterscharführer Michael Wittmann (GE893) includes Dismounted Michael Wittman figure, one StuG A with Michael Wittmann Tank Commander figure & one Small base. Michael Wittmann joined the SS in 1937. His first command was in an Sd Kfz 222 armoured car in Poland. He soon came to command a StuG III A after the campaign in France and went into action with the rest of the battery in Greece. "Michael Wittmann can replace up to one assault gun (see the Assault Gun Platoon on page of Burning Empires) with his StuG A or B for +40 points."

Michael Wittmann in Burning Empires "Michael Wittmann replaces one of the StuG A or B Assault guns in the Assault Gun Platoon in an SS company. He is not a Warrior team, however, his platoon may use the Ambush! special rule."

Ambush! "Michael Wittmann was a man on the go, always manoeuvring to a position of advantage before striking the enemy. His favourite tactic was to strike from the flanks, where the enemy least expected." Wittmann and his Assault Gun Platoon may be deployed using the Ambush special rule (found in the Flames Of War rulebook) in addition to any other platoons that would normally be deployed in Ambush. Wittmann’s platoon may deploy in Ambush even in missions that do not normally use the Ambush special rule.

Tip: Each track has markings indicating whether it is the left or right track. There is also an arrow to tell you which end of the track should face towards the front of the hull when attaching it to the model.

Once Wittmann is in place, it's time to complete assembly by adding the hatch. There is a small notch at the base of the Wittmann figure to place the hatch. Left: The notch at the base of the Wittmann figure.
