M4/FL-10 Sherman Platoon (AARBX05)
 |
M4/FL-10 Sherman Platoon (AARBX05) includes five M4/FL-10 tanks, five M4 turrets, & five Tank Commanders. Each infantry brigade had a full battalion of 30 T-34/85 tanks under command, although the Palestinian 7th Infantry Division in the Gaza Strip had a battalion of Sherman tanks instead. Some of their Sherman tanks were modified to carry the FL-10 turret of the AMX-13 light tank, significantly increasing their firepower. This product is no longer available... |
Fate Of A Nation The fate of a nation hangs in the balance. Israel cannot lose even a single battle. One defeat would mean the destruction of the tiny Jewish state. Not waiting to be attacked by the Arab forces massing on its borders, Israel strikes first. Learn more about Fate Of A Nation here... |

While some tanks in the Gaza Strip launched mobile counterattacks against the attacking Israeli forces, those at Abu Ageila fought from their defensive positions without attempting to manoeuvre. This gave them considerable protection against the bigger guns of the Israelis, although it did disperse their effort to a degree. Designed by Evan Allen Painted by Aaron Mathie |

Autoloader The French AMX-13 had an automatic loader allowing the gunner to fire twelve shots before reloading the gun (a process requiring the crew to dismount and taking 15 minutes or more). It wasn’t as quick-firing as a crew member loading the gun, but it did allow a very small tank to mount a powerful gun in a small, light turret. AMX tanks do not suffer any penalty To Hit while moving and may re-roll failed rolls To Hit if they did not move in the Movement Step. |

Unreliable Whether poorly designed, unsuitable for the conditions, or requiring more maintenance than current supply considerations will allow, these vehicles have a significant chance of breakdown when pushed too hard. If an Unreliable vehicle attempts to move At the Double, roll a die. On a roll of 1 the vehicle becomes Bogged Down. |

Palestinian Shermans The Egyptians used Sherman tanks in the 1956 war, but by 1967 they were nearing the end of their effective service life. The remaining 30 were handed over to the 20th Palestinian Division in the Gaza Strip, forming their one and only tank battalion. As with the Israelis, the Egyptians had recognised the limitations of the Sherman’s short-barrelled 75mm gun and gone to the French for a solution. They settled on the same gun as the Israeli M50, but rather than modifying the turret, simply replaced it with the turret from an AMX-13 light tank to create the M4/FL-10. A handful of these served in the Palestinian tank battalion. |
