Twenty-four people in 12 teams turned up for a weekend of Flames of War MW gaming, playing a total of five 2.5hr games over the weekend. While not as big a turnout as in previous years, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves with lots of positive feedback from the players. The obvious feature of this teams type tournament seems to be loud laughter that filled the hall regularly. The most difficult task for the organisers, this year, was determining the best painted army, as the standard of painting was very high with some outstanding armies on display.
Covid inevitably made its appearance with a couple of people unable to attend at short notice, but this turned out ok as the two remaining team members teamed up with some locals to enjoy a weekend of gaming.
So as the players were ready to leave the hall, with the winners clutching their prizes, it was time to thank our sponsors, with Placemakers once again providing table tops (mdf sheets), and Battlefront for the prize support. A big thank you to both these Sponsors for their much appreciated contributions.
The club now looks forward to seeing everyone at next year’s Tournament Panzerschreck 23.
