D-Day Global Campaign: Phil And His Hobby League Army
|
D-Day Global Campaign: Phil And His Hobby League Army with Phil Yates Well, it's been a blast. Hard work, but a blast. I now have my first American force, even if it still needs a little detailing to get it where I'd like it to be, and I've played nine games with it so far - and I've even won more than I've lost!
In the last week, I've played seven games as those who've been following my exploits on the global campaign website or the Facebook page will probably be aware. The most common comment has been 'That's a lot of tanks!', often followed by 'They're so fast and slippery, dammit.

Now that I'm finished (or nearly so anyway), I'm eyeing up a few interesting additions. The first is an M15/M16 AAA (SP) AW anti-aircraft platoon. I'm not sure where it will fit in with my battle plans, but I've always loved the M16 ever since making the 1:76 scale Matchbox kit way back when. The second is a Parachute Rifle Platoon to swap out for my Armored Rifle Platoon. I'd be giving up some bazookas, but gaining better motivation to keep them going forward and better assault capability to clean up when they reach the enemy.
