My Foray into Flames
with Aiman

To everyone who has been playing tabletop wargames, I truly salute you. I'm completely new to this. As a millennial, I'm used to playing digital games, so experiencing a “manual” one, feels very unique.

The journey of first choosing a force to playing my first 100 points match, has been a fun ride.

The experience of building your own units from plastic pieces and painting them up, makes me kind of attached to them. Truth be told, makes me don't want to use it for games at all. I still have 65 points more to paints and I'm trying my best to reach my target to finish it all in another 3 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Here in Malaysia, I have already played in two matches. We started playing with 50 points and then a full 100 points game so that we could learn as we go. Getting used to the rules, figuring out about movement and shooting. Unfortunately, I lost both of my matches so far but an expert told me, “Always blame the dice”. So now I am partially convinced that my dice are cursed!

In the end, it's just a game. The most important thing is that we had fun and laughed.

That's what matters, right?
