For the UK Open Day, Pete Harris ran his ever-popular Wittman’s Wild Ride, which has been touring the Battlefront UK Event Scene for a number of years now, recently getting it’s V4 rules update to bring it into line with the current rules points systems.

For an event, a record number of the community came by the table and tried their luck at taking out the XXX Corps British attacking Michael Wittman.

For those who haven’t had the joy of playing this scenario, the premise is that you score points for every unit that Wittman takes out as he moves down the road through 6 turns. It is a gauntlet of death where all the British units are either side of the road shooting into the flank of the Tiger.

Pete’s feedback was that not only did he have a constant stream of players taking part rolling dice, but one player, Brian Lynch, managed to score the highest number of points in all the years Pete has been running the scenario. Pete even managed to take some photos of the ‘utter destruction that Brian wrought on the table’

Considering that when I played the scenario on the Open Day, I only managed to score 3 points before my Tiger blew up in a blaze of hot metal, Brian’s score of 51 is seriously impressive and quite rightly won him a Hollywood Tiger Tournament Objective Marker as a prize for the day
