Assembling the tracks Using the T-34 Track Variant Pack

As mentioned in the spotlight you receive 3 sets of tracks and 30 of each of the two types of road wheels.

Before putting them together it is a good idea to work out what type of wheel arrangement you are going to have.

Have a search of the Internet and look through any T-34 books you may have, you will be quite surprised by the variations that were used in the field.

Here are a few examples:

~ All steel rim wheels

~ All spoked rubber rimmed wheels

~ Rubber rims front and back, three middle steel rim wheels

~ Rubber rims front, back, and  middle, two steel rim wheels either side of the middle

~ Front rubber rim wheel only

Step 1 Clean up the wheels

Step 1

First clean the flash and casting lines off the wheels. With the little holes in the wheels I clean these up by poking the flash through with a large needle (I stole from my mum a very long time ago).

Once all the holes are poked through you can trim the excess metal sticking out from the back with a sharp craft knife.

Finally trim all the excess metal from the edges of the wheels with a craft knife and clean up with a file or scraping with the knife.

Step 2

Clean up the blank tracks.

Then apply superglue gel to the inside wheels on the tracks before pressing the separate wheels into position.

Glue one or two wheels at a time, this will avoid gluing yourself to the track while sticking wheels on, creating a sticky mess.

Try and keep the wheels level with each other.

This set I have done with all spoked rubber rimmed wheels.

Step 3

Glue them to the T-34 hull as normal. You have a unique tank!
