The NOVA Open Charitable Foundation, Inc.(NOCF), established in January 2013, was created to assist the tabletop wargaming community in raising funds for charitable causes. Miniature painters and artists have long been involved in producing miniature armies as a form of fundraising. Recognizing the immense generosity of the worldwide tabletop wargamers, the NOVA Open Charitable Foundation was formed to bring this “Compassionate Force” together under a single banner with a broad outreach to support charities which address the needs of humanitarian emergency relief, children’s causes, the military and medical research.
Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières help people worldwide where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from health care.

MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999, in recognition of the organisation’s pioneering humanitarian work in more than 80 countries, where they have treated tens of millions of people.

The prize is a Soviet tank army, including 21 T-34 tanks with 76mm or 85mm turret options and a heavy mortar company, expertly painted by Steve McCuen from CGR Painters. The army comprises 2000 points, with flexibility up and down.

The army comes with its own customised transport case donated by KR Multicase, as well as custom acrylic templates from TNT Laser Works.

Steve has been painting Flames Of War miniatures for many years. This is his third year donating his time to paint an army for the NOVA Open charity raffle.

Steve enjoys painting all types of miniatures for his clients, and sometimes even has a bit of time to paint his own miniatures!
