75mm Autocar (BR360) 75mm Autocar (BR360)

The British arranged for some under the lend-lease program, but deliveries were too late for use in Tunisia. The initial deliveries came straight from  US Army stocks as they were slowly replacing their M3 GMCs with M10s. For example, the Royal Canadian Dragoons received ex-US 75mm Autocars in Italy. 75mm Autocar (BR360)

They were used as heavy support in Armoured Squadrons and first saw action in Italy lending their heavy fire to the armoured cars.
In Flames of War

You will find the 75mm Autocar in the 75mm Gun Platoon of the Armoured Car Squadron in Desert Rats. The British didn’t use the 75mm Autocar in the tank destroyer role, but instead took advantage of its field gun in a more traditional fire support role.

The 75mm field gun can fire as Close Support Artillery and is armed with a smoke round, so take advantage of this and use them to provide smoke cover for your withdrawing armoured cars.
