TundraCon was an uncertainty for the Battle Badgers leading up to the actual event.  We were hoping to host sixteen players from the OshKosh community, but registration had been slow initially. So in order to make sure that participates who signed up would have a tournament worth attending seven extra bodies (myself include) piled into a couple of cars along with all of our terrain.

Attendance at Tundracon turned out to be better than I'd expected. We ran a great tournament along with some demonstration games, and generally spent most the day answering questions from interested passersby.

Unfortunately one player still relatively new to Flames Of War arrived ready to compete in the Mid-war event with a Late-war force from the Forces book. After I explained the difference to him, one of my follow Battle Badgers was kind enough to drop-out of the tournament and grabbed a 1710 Late-war force of his own. Not wanting anyone to go away disappointed, he then spent the rest of the day teaching the player his first finer points of Flames Of War and playing a couple games with them. It was pretty darn awesome.
