2014 Texas Nationals Report & Results

33 players; 2 days; the Texas weather and air-conditioning made for some pretty intense games over the course of last weekend. With the Allies far outnumbering the Axis forces, the Soviets were forced to play on both sides for the first couple rounds till the field could be narrowed down a bit.

TexasGames Con (formerly Wargames Con) is always a pleasure to attend. Jon Wolf, the coordinator of the event runs a tight ship. He is constantly on the move talking with everyone; seeing if there is anything he can help out with.

The missions for the six rounds, in order were: Dust Up; Hasty Attack; Fighting Withdrawal; Breakthrough; Hold The Line; and Encounter.

We extended the Fair Fight missions by thirty minutes and this did alleviate some of the 2-2 tie games that were an issue. This allowed the field to open up a bit (and made it easier on the Tournament Organiser).
