The M577 is a variant of the M113 personnel carrier, configured for use as a command and control vehicle at battalion and brigade level. It featured a modular tent, carried on the top rear, which could be deployed from the rear of the vehicle to create greater work space.

So if you have two army deal boxes, the CP is positioned on the base to allow you to position two (or even three) together, perhaps representing a brigade-level CP.
