Assembling the 122mm/152mm guns

For plastic models like this, we recommend you use Plastic Glue. GF9 Plastic Glue is available in the online store...
Step 1. First begin assembly by glueing the wheels on.

Step 2. The two variants are the same apart from the gun. The 122mm gun for the 122mm obr 1938 howitzer is the shorter of the two guns; the 152mm gun for the 1252mm obr 1943 howitzer is the longer gun with the muzzle brake. Once you have chosen which gun you want to build, glue it onto the trail.

Step 3. The shield is attached directly to the gun. Below shows the contact points between the pieces (highlighted in red).

Basing the crew

The artillery crew sprue has six figures, and each of your gun teams only requires five, so you will have enough options to give each gun team a different mix of figures. Position the figures around the gun as though they are busily operating their guns. Fill the spare hole using one of the plastic basing plugs. The ammunition boxes let you add some detail, making each base a miniature diorama.

	The figures for the Command Team, Observer Team and Staff Team are made from a light-weight polyester resin. It feels and behaves quite similarly to the hard styrene of our injection-moulded plastic models, but it does not 'melt' together with plastic cement, so you will need to use Super Glue to attach these figures to their bases. It is easy to tell the difference, because the resin is a much paler grey colour.  The Observer Team uses the small two-hole base. The Command Team uses the small three-hole base. The Staff Team uses the medium four-hole base.
