Return to the Open Fire! Hub here...

The HQ Section
Let's begin by assembling the HQ Section. Below is the organisation diagram for the HQ section.

Below:
The US Parachute Rifle Platoon HQ Section organisation diagram.

Each organisation diagram features an image of the figures to be used when creating the team and a figure code for each figure.

Below: Examples of the figure codes above each figure.

These figure codes are also repeated on the plastic frame to aid in figure identification. Once you've located the figures for the HQ section lay them out on the assembly instructions next to the organisation diagram. Below is the key for the figure codes:

O = Officer
RO = Radio Operator N = NCO
R = Rifleman
MG = Machine-gunner/loader
M = Mortar/Crewmen
B = Bazooka gunner/loader

Tip: The organisation diagram also tells you what base you need to correctly base the figures. For example the HQ section requires a 3 hole small base.
Below: Examples of the figure codes on the plastic frame. Below: The HQ Section figures laid out on assembly instructions along with the base required.

Once all of the correct figures have been identified along with the right base, remove any mould lines and excess plastic using a file or modelling knife before attaching them to the base. Use Poly Cement or Superglue to glue the figures into the base. By following this method you'll be able to quickly assemble your Parachute Rifle Platoon and have them on the tabletop in no time.

The Rifle Squads
Each Rifle squad contains two Rifle/MG teams made up of four figures; each team is then assembled on a 4 hole medium base.
