Return to the Open Fire! Hub here...

Begin assembling the plastic Anti-tank gun platoon by cutting the pieces off the frame and remove any mould lines and excess plastic using a file or modelling knife. Lay each component of the Anti-tank Gun Platoon i.e. the gun, crew, bases etc in front of you using the assembly instructions included in Open Fire as a reference. Ensure that you have all the components required to fully assemble the Anti-tank Gun Platoon before beginning constructions. Make sure you use Poly Cement or Superglue to glue the pieces together.

Step 1. Begin assembly of the 7.5cm PaK40 anti-tank with the the gun trail. Start by attaching the wheels to either side of the gun trail.

Tip:
Always dry fit (Dry Fitting is assembling components of a model without any glue. This ensure that they go fit together correctly before a permanent bond is created and allows for any fine adjustments to be made.) components before final assembly.

The 7.5cm PaK40 Anti-tank gun is manned by a four-man crew. Below are examples of the crew figures that can be found on the plastic Infantry Frames. Figure A straddles the left side of the gun trail; Figure B should be out to one side of the gun providing direction for the rest of the crew; Figures C and D should be placed behind the gun ready to reload the gun.

Tip: When arranging the crew figures, remember you're trying to tell a story. Position your figures accordingly.
