The Contents

Firstly, let’s take a look at the contents of the Hungarian Infantry box set; contact the customer service team at [email protected] if you have any issues with any of the components.

The Hungarian Volunteer Rifle Company contains 122 infantry figures. These give you enough figures to make up 5 Command teams, 18 Rifle teams (with Rifle/MG options), 2 Light Mortar teams, 2 Panzerschreck teams and 3 HMG teams. Also you get 4 optional Panzerfausts and 4 optional Panzerknackers. The army box also includes 7 small bases and 23 medium bases.

Begin by opening up the box and sorting out all the figures as per the contents pictures below. Once you have checked that you have the correct number of figures you can start building the platoons.

Headquarters

Company Headquarters

The Company Headquarters is made up of a Company Command Rifle Team and a 2iC Command Rifle Team and two optional Light mortar teams and two optional Panzerschreck teams. The Company Command Rifle team should be made up of two officer figures and a Rifleman figure modelled on a small base. The 2iC Command Rifle team should be made up of an Officer figure and Riflemen also modelled on a small base. The two Light mortar teams should each have a mortar carrier figure and a Rifleman figure on a small base. Finally, the two Panzerschreck teams should each have an NCO figure, a Loader figure and two Panzerschreck figures. You also have the option of having Panzerknacker (Páncélvadász) or Panzerfaust in your Company Command and 2iC Command teams. These can be created by replacing the Rifle figure with either a Panzerknacker or Panzerfaust figure.

Combat Platoons

Önkéntes Puskás Platoon

You get two Önkéntes Puskás Platoons in the box set.  Each Önkéntes Puskás Platoon contains ten stands of infantry that are made up of a Command Rifle Team and nine Rifle teams. The Command stand should be modelled on a small base with an Officer figure, an NCO figure and a Rifleman figure. Three of the Rifle teams should be made with a mix of three Riflemen figures and an NCO figure modelled on a medium base. The remaining six Rifle teams should simply have four Riflemen figures to each medium base. There are also the LMG figures that you can swapped for a Rifleman figure if you wish to upgrade to the Rifle/MG team option.

As with the Company Headquarters you have the option of having Panzerknacker or Panzerfaust in your Command team for each of your Önkéntes Puskás Platoons. These figures simply replace the Rifle figure in the Command depending on the option you take.

The Puskás Machine-gun Platoon has three HMG stands made up of a gunner, a loader and an extra figure which can be either the kneeling ammo carrier figure or a crouching NCO figure. The platoon also has a Command Rifle team made up of an Officer figure, an NCO figure and a Rifleman figure.

Now you’re ready to hold back the combined tide of Romanian and Soviet armies trying to destroy Hungary as a Nation.

As always have fun.
