Ghosts Of War Event Report
by Marcin Nowicki
On 15-16 May, 2010 another successful Flames Of War event took place in the city of Szczecin, Poland. The event was hosted by the local wargaming club,
Animosity
and proudly supported by the gaming store
Warlord
.
The event had a Late-war theme and was based on 1750 points and over the two hard fought days saw the following scenarios played:
1.
Breakthrough
2.
Cauldron
3.
Fighting Withdrawal
4.
No Retreat
5.
Encounter
Each player attending received a commemorative Flames Of War themed mug but the real prizes the players were seeking were the tank statuettes being awarded for first, second and third.
Each player had the chance to play on a variety of gaming tables including the D-Day beaches, the Russian Steppe and the Bocage of Normandy.
Once the dust had settled, we had our winners:
1. Piotr "Zamli"
2. Marcin "Fryta"
3. Jakub "Kubbek"
4. Tomek "Sifu44"
4. Paweł "Thagg"
6. Kamil „Krassus”
7. Bartosz "Rebel"
7. Jerzy "Żniwiarz"
9. Paweł "Pechowy"
10. Arek "Roman"
11. Krzysztof „Flymch”
11. Piotr „Kleryk”
13. Marek "Talmar"
14. Sergiusz "Ivy Mike"
In the end, I would like to thank all who helped in organising the event:
Animosity
Warlord
We'd also like to thank Battlefront and look forward to seeing everyone at our next event.
