US Rifle Company

US Rifle Company (UBX03) The American war effort is carred on the back of its GIs. Equipped with the latest technology and backed by the industrial might of America, the GI presses forward to victory. When the situation becomes tricky, they will quickly overcome obstacles to win the field of combat securing freedom every step they take!

Included: • 5x Command teams • 3x Sniper teams • 4x Bazooka teams • 18x Rifle teams • 3x 60mm mortar teams • 4x LMG teams

The Company commander leads the boys. He has many responsibilities to handle; coordinating support platoons as well as directing his own combat platoons. However, good training and even better communications ensure control over his portion of the battlefield at all times. The Riflemen are armed with the M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle and Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR). They are also supported by their weapons company. This gives them M1919 light machine-guns and 60mm mortars to help them liberate an oppressed Europe!

These excellent weapons allow the Doughboys of the Rifle Platoons to put out a steady rate of fire, whether standing still or on the move. When well supported, a Rifle Platoon is tough in both defensive and offensive operations.

In Flames Of War The UBX03 box contains the company HQ, two platoons of Riflemen, three snipers and a weapons platoon. These platoons will get all US players started with their US Rifle company! You have enough troops to go ont he offensive, supported by heavy weapons and tanks. Or, dig them in on an objective and the enemy will be hard-pressed to deal with your Doughboys!

Some of the special rule utilised by the men of the Rifle Company are: Truscott Trot US Infantry teams move 16”/40cm instead of the normal 12”/30cm when moving At the Double. Excellent Communications Platoon and 2iC Command teams can act as observers and request artillery fire in the same manner as a Company Command team.

Under Command Company, 2iC, and Platoon Command teams do not suffer their normal +1 penalty to range in when calling for artillery bombardments from platoons taken as Weapons platoon choices. These include Weapons Platoons, Mortar Platoons and Assault-gun Platoons. As well as Cannon Platoons and Chemical Mortar Platoons taken as Support choices.
