Trench Mortar Platoon (GFR705)

Trench Mortar Platoon (GUS705)

Trench Mortar Platoon (GFR705)
Contains 1x Command Rifle team, 4x 76mm Stokes mortar or 58mm Type 2 mortar teams.

German machine-gun nests and pillboxes are not the obstacle they once were due to our excellent collection of trench mortars. The British 76mm Stokes mortar can knock out strongpoints up close in the attack. The heavier 58mm Type 2 mortars will stay in our trench line or close behind it to knock out the most difficult of enemy positions.

1918 saw great changes in the warfare of the Western Front. Russia pulled out of the war, freeing thousands more German troops to push the Allies back huge distances. The Allied counteroffensives, with the new tanks, evolving tactics, and the arrival of the Americans, forced the Germans back towards their own borders and defeat.

Trench Guns
Trench guns and mortars are specially designed to give the infantry their own close-support artillery. They are small enough to fit in trenches and light enough to be carried forward to assist in the assault..

Trench Guns can enter, cross, and be deployed in Trenches as though they were Man-packed guns.

Trench Guns use  medium base and face the long edge, like Man-packed gun teams.
